MariaDB Puts $25K on the Table in Distributed SQL Throwdown


May 14, 2022 - In a proof of concept, users are challenged to compare Xpand, MariaDB's distributed SQL database to another distributed SQL solution. MariaDB will contribute $25K to a nonprofit or to pay the infrastructure expenses connected with executing the test if Xpand does not exhibit superior throughput and reduced latency.
