Wix relies on a “freemium” model allowing customers to use free products and upgrade as they see fit for better packages and features. Chairman Mark Tluszcz believes the company should have one billion users, but they have heavy competition from companies, such as Weebly and Squarespace.
Wix is expanding its usage of containers and has a growing need to ensure the security of all containers. The Twistlock solution helps to identify vulnerabilities and enforce security policies across the container lifecycle, which ensure that all containers, no matter which applications they are running, have a consistent security model from development through production.
Wix uses many open source technologies, as such, they particularly like Twistlock's integration with online CVE (Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures)
According to the Mountain View company, 55% of small businesses still do not have websites, which is why they have decided to launch the Google Domains project.
With this new project, companies will be able to “search, find, purchase, and transfer the best domain for their business-whether it's .com, .biz, .org, or any of the wide range of new domains that are begin released to the Web,” says the tech giant via blog post.
