Datacenter.com Achieves Status EU Code Of Conduct Participant Status Promoting Energy Efficient Practices
📅 - Amsterdam-based colocation company Datacenter.com, a carrier-neutral provider of colocation services ‘on demand,' has been approved for the EU Code of Conduct for Energy Efficiency in Data Centers. The EU Code of Conduct for Data Centers (ec.europa.eu) was created in response to increasing energy consumption in data centers and the need to reduce the related environmental, economic and energy supply security impacts.
European data centers signing this agreement are obliged to reduce their energy consumption. Datacenter.com is an OCP ready data center provider (opencompute.org) with its flagship facility AMS1 located in Amsterdam. This data center is run in an energy-efficient way, using [...][...
