📅 April 6, 2019 - Worldwide spend on data center hardware and software grew by 17 percent in 2018, according to a new report published by Synergy Research (srgresearch.com) Group. Global spending on hardware and software Main driver for this growth in demand in 2018 is cloud. Total data center infrastructure equipment revenues, including cloud and non-cloud, hardware and software, were $150 billion in 2018. Public cloud infrastructure accounted for well over a third of the total.
