March 8, 2019 - Microsoft collaborates with Telecom Egypt (te.eg) to extend its cloud network to Egypt. Telecom Egypt would provide low-latency connectivity into and across Egypt to help enhance performance and increase reliability for customers of Microsoft cloud services.

Microsoft's global network connects Microsoft's cloud infrastructure of more than 100 data centers, 135 edge node locations and more than 100,000 miles of fiber and undersea cable systems to deliver Microsoft cloud services to customers. Microsoft's collaboration with Telecom Egypt and its new data center Point-of-Presence (PoP) in Egypt would further enhance delivery of services to customers in Egypt, North Africa and the Middle [...][...
