CTERA Networks Raises $30M in Growth Funding For Global Expansion


📅 - Cloud-enabled file services company CTERA (http://www.ctera.com) Networks has secured a $30 million Series D growth equity funding round. The new financing will be used for the expansion of CTERA's global sales and delivery organization, with an emphasis on growth in Asia, and particularly in Southeast Asia and Singapore.

This funding round follows a year of record results for CTERA, in which the company has more than doubled its enterprise software subscription revenue, signed strategic reselling agreements with IBM and HPE, and continued to add world-leading organizations to its customer base. 📅 - 4.5 Billion Rata Records Compromised Worldwide in 1st Half 2018 - 945 data breaches led to 4.5 billion data records being compromised worldwide in the first half of 2018, according to Gemalto's Breach Level Index – a global database of public data breaches.

Compared to the same period in 2017, the number of lost, stolen or compromised records increased by a staggering 133 percent, though the total number of breaches slightly decreased over the same period, signaling an increase in the severity of each incident.
