Global SDN #Zenlayer Adds Tencent Cloud to Portfolio of #Cloud Connect Partners

📅 May 3, 2018 - Zenlayer (zenlayer.com), a global software defined network (SDN) and services provider, has announced that Zenlink – Zenlayer's SD-WAN Cloud Connect platform launched in November last year – now supports direct connections to Chinese cloud services provider, Tencent Cloud (cloud.tencent.com). At this moment, Zenlayer offers direct access to Tencent Cloud in Silicon Valley, Frankfurt, Singapore and Hong Kong.

Tencent Cloud is the cloud computing arm of Tencent, one of the largest Internet companies in Asia. This trial would be a first for the Chinese market and a milestone for metro data center interconnect (DCI) networks.

The trial leveraged ADVA's FSP 3000 TeraFlex hyperscale DCI technology, which features software-defined optics with "plug-and-play" simplicity.
