📅 - By the end of 2017, the United States Air Force will have moved more email accounts to cloud-based solutions provided by Microsoft. This is due to the extension of the partnership between the two, which happened recently.
Microsoft provides cloud-based solutions to the Air Force including Office 365, One Drive cloud storage, SharePoint and other solutions. Last month, 68,000 users from Halloman Air Force Base in New Mexico moved to the cloud and nine more bases followed shortly after.
The US Air Force has about 310,000 members and 70,000 reserves. It's expected that all users will be moved to the cloud and most will be done by the end of the year.
