📅 - New regulations proposed by the European Commission to speed EU telecom networks and also boost investments, could also raise the economic output by 910 billion euros ($1 trillion) and help to create more than 1 million new jobs by 2025.
The cost to get there over the coming decade is expected to exceed 500 billion euros. According to an e-mail from the commission, most of those funds will come from private sources. The EU is enticing investors by promising to “substantially” cut regulations, and also by presenting a plan to deploy 5G mobile networks across the region.

This estimate would put the services up 17.2% compared to last year, which ended up at $178 billion.
