The company plans to target emerging enterprise market opportunities to grow international operations. They will add additional country coverage for Unified Communications and Call Center solutions.
The company was established in 2006 and is headquartered in Wayne, Pennsylvania. They offer many cloud services including virtual desktops, unified communications, contact centers, virtual servers and disaster recovery.

📅 - ING Bank’s Data Center Knocked Offline - This past Saturday, ING Bank's Romanian customers could not access their money. A fire extinguisher test went wrong and knocked the entire data center offline, resulting in cash machines and online banking operations to fail.
The bank reported a discharge of the gas-based fire suppression system, which caused “unexpected” damage to the system's servers.
The problem lasted ten hours of the day, from 13:00 to 23:00 local time, and the bank was also unable to explain the problematic situation to it's customers since it's own communication system was affected as well.

📅 - Apigee Acquired by Google - Google has acquired a cloud software company called Apigee Corporation. Apigee is known for providing management tools for APIs. They offer a range of software to help with communication and data sharing, which are key for those developing apps for business in the cloud.
This just adds to Google's cloud presence and allows the company to improve their overall cloud products and services. The deal was reportedly worth $625 million. Apigee also has a very impressive customer base with big name clients, such as World Bank and AT&T.
