Survey Finds Customers Rank Security Highest in Cloud Provider Selection
📅 - Market saturation is well underway for cloud hosting in the small and medium sized business industry, B2B ratings and review site Clutch revealed in a survey released on Wednesday. The survey found that almost 75% of SMBs have changed hosting providers in the last 5 years. Thirty percent have done so during the last year.
The survey asked owners of more than 300 businesses that have between two and 1,000 employees found that 95% currently use a cloud hosting service or currently planning to transition to one – nearly complete market saturation.

📅 - NSA Hacking Tools Leak Raises Plenty of Questions - Recently, a group calling themselves the ShadowBrokers released two dossiers to the online world. One is up for anybody to take, while the other is locked and up for auction. These files contain techniques and tools used to hack into computers and files coming from 2013 from the NSA.
Some believe the Equation Group is responsible for the leak, while others say it might be the NSA itself. Cybersecurity analysts are looking into the leak to figure out if it poses any type of threat to the national security of the United States.
Suspects include countries, such as China and Russia, even though they have both repeatedly denied the accusation's. It could also be a former or current NSA worker
📅 - Cisco Speeding Transition to Software by Cutting Workforce - Recently, Cisco Systems, Inc. announced plans to cut their workforce by about 7%. This will be done in an effort to rebrand the company as a software-based systems and services provider.
