U.S. Navy To Pay $11 Million For Quantum Computer Training
📅 - A unit in the U.S. Navy announced it will be undergoing quantum computer training through Canadian company D-Wave. The company will receive $11 million in exchange for the training, which does not include the cost of the quantum computer hardware that will be needed upon completion of training.
The Naval unit undergoing the training is the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Pacific, also known as SPAWAR. The unit is headquartered in San Diego, where it also studies other technologies like unmanned aerial vehicles, amphibious robots, and virtual reality.

About 4,000 shared hosting customers will move from Servers Australia to VentraIP. VentraIP will also market Servers Australia's dedicated hosting to their customers. .
📅 - Eight Equinix Data Centers Sold to Digital Realty - Digital Realty Trust has purchased eight of the Equinix data centers found in Europe. Equinix committed to selling the data centers last years as one of the conditions of the $3.8 billion acquisition of TelecityGroup. The deal was announced on Monday.
The deal, which is expected to be finalized in the second half of the year, will expand Digital Realty Trust in three major European markets. The San Francisco-based company will pay $874 million for the four data centers in London, the two in Amsterdam and the one in Frankfurt. .
