May, 2016 : RightScale Switches to Docker and Cuts Cloud Costs


📅 - RightScale's engineering team started a project to rethink the infrastructure of the services they use about two months ago. They made the decision to move as much of the backend to Docker containers as possible. This process took about seven weeks, but has allowed the company to reduce their cloud costs, along with accelerate development.

The Docker containers have gained quite a bit of popularity in the past few years. They have been very much talked about in the IT industry. There are actually two Dockers. One is the Docker container, which is the open source packaging for software, while the other is Docker Inc.
