📅 May 10, 2016 - Ford, a motor company, has decided to invest in Pivotal Software Inc. The goal behind the investment is to help build on the software development of Ford. They want to add state-of-the-art software engineering capabilities to the entire company and investing in Pivotal will help.

Ford is headquartered in Dearborn, Michigan and has achieved global recognition. Pivotal is headquartered in Palo Alto, California ad it an EMC ad VMware cloud-computing joint venture. The investment from Ford was for $182 million. Pivotal expects another $253 million investment from Microsoft, as well.
