CenturyLink Launches IaaS Cloud Services for Federal Agencies; Satisifes FedRAMP
📅 - Web hosting provider CenturyLink recently announced the launch of their Infrastructure-as-a-Service cloud offering for federal agencies.
The IaaS offering complies with the government's federal security standards by the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program, or “FedRAMP”. The new service is known as CenturyLink Government Cloud.

Ericsson is the industry leader in mobile network gear. Amazon Web Services is the leader in cloud computing.
The first customer under the new deal will be Telstra, the Australian telecommunications operator. Ericsson's strategy is to push telecom service providers to bring in cloud services rather than relying on internal operations to sustain them. The cloud makes them more efficient and faster.
