Jan, 2016 : Security Breach at Interxion Affects 23,000
📅 - More than 23,000 Europeans had their data exposed in December thanks to a security breach at Interxion, a European data center. The affected people included both existing customers and prospective customers. Interxion says the breach affected only their Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, and did not affect their customers ‘ financial information in any way.
The company notified customers right away with an email:
“The business contact information that was accessed consisted of names, job titles, and (business) contact details such as (business) email addresses and phone numbers. No financial or other sensitive customer data was accessed, or is stored within this system. We emphasize that this incident only affected Interxion's CRM system and did not impact or involve any of the data centers or services that Interxion provides.”
