Dec, 2015 : DDoS Attack Causes Moonfruit to Take Sites Offline

📅 - A recent DDoS attack has caused DIY website builder Moonfruit to take client website offline. This happened four days after they were hit by the attack and the sites were offline for up to 12 hours.

Moonfruit, a UK-based company, took sites down at 10:00 GMT on Monday and the latest update says they are still working on resolving the issue. Matt Casey, Director of Moonfruit, believe the party responsible for the attack is called the Armada Collective. The attack lasted a full 45 minutes and Moonfruit was contacted for a ransom.

The group responsible also told Moonfruit if they didn't pay the ransom, they would continue the attack on Monday.
