Nixu Software Breaks Down Barriers In Data Centers, Changes Company Name to FusionLayer, Inc.
📅 - HOUSTON–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Nixu Software today announced its official name change to FusionLayer, Inc. The new name has been chosen to effectively reflect the company's position as the pioneer of software-defined IP Address Management (IPAM) solutions bridging the gap between data center silos. The company's patented technology functions as the authoritative provisioning source for all network-related information required by orchestrators and controllers run in conjunction with Software-Defined Data Center (SDDC) stacks.
The new name also coincides with the successful Initial Public Offering (IPO) of Nixu Oyj, listed at the First North marketplace of the Nasdaq OMX Helsinki stock exchange in December 2014. After the listing, the Nixu brand is dedicated to professional services around cyber security, allowing the two companies to develop sharper branding focusing on their respective core competencies.
“Changing our name to FusionLayer is a logical step in realizing our vision,” said Juha Holkkola, Chief Executive of FusionLayer. “After Nixu decided to pursue the IPO route for its information security practice, we concluded that the time has come to introduce a new brand that resonates better with what we do. Essentially, we believe that the next-generation IT architectures will contain a number of orchestrators and controllers automating the various service flows. Yet all those services and applications must co-exist in the same networks, necessitating a new layer in the SDDC stack used to fuse the workflows that encompass both the application and the infrastructure silos,” he elaborated.
The name change will not have an impact on any outstanding contracts or agreements that FusionLayer has entered into using its former Nixu Software name. Equally, all company addresses, business and tax identity codes, as well as all banking information will remain the same as they were before the name change.
