Nov, 2014 : Google Announces Fiber Pricing Plans For Austin, Texas


📅 - Google has released prices for its upcoming high-speed Internet services in Austin, Texas, which will release next month.

In a Google Plus blog post, the tech giant revealed that residential plans will start at $70 a month for Internet packages.

Basic Internet- $0/ month for speeds up to 5Mbps download and 1 Mbps upload speed, with a $300 construction fee.
Gigabit Internet- $70/ month for speeds up to 1,000 Mpbs upload and download speeds and 1TB of cloud storage across Google Drive, Gmail, and Google + photos.
Gigabit + TV- $130 month for up to 1,000 Mpbs upload and download speed, 150+ channels, and 1TB cloud storage across Google Drive, Gmail, and Google + photos.

Google Fiber offers users faster Internet speed of 1 gigabit per second. It was first announced in 2013 that it would be arriving in Austin by mid-2014, though it was slightly delayed due to the complex underground drilling that is done for the more than 3,000 miles of underground cable.

Other cities that offer the service is Kansas City and Provo.
