Dropbox Lowers Its Monthly Prices To $9.99 For 1TB of Storage

📅 - Dropbox has lowered its monthly prices as a way to compete with other cloud storage services such as Amazon Web Services, Google Drive, and Microsoft OneDrive.

Now Dropbox's Pro plan is priced at $9.99 a month, which includes 1 terabyte of space. Previously the $10 a month subscription would only get you 100 gigabytes, while its $50 month plan would get 500 gigabytes.

The company's new plans also include new sharing controls such as passwords for shared links, view only permissions for shared files, and expiration date links for documents, says Dropbox's blog.

Additionally, a new remote wipe feature is introduced. This allows users the ability to remotely delete all files and stop syncing from another device if a laptop or mobile device is stolen or lost.

Earlier this year Google slashed its Drive prices from $49.99 to $9.99 a month for 1TB of storage, while Microsoft charges $2.50 a month for 1TB during its promotional offer.
