Aug, 2014 : Microsoft Rumored To Unveil Windows 9 On September 30th
📅 - Microsoft's new operating system, Windows 9, is expected to be unveiled at the end of September, reports The Verge.
According to “sources familiar with Microsoft's plans,” the tech giant will release the OS at a special press event on September 30th, though Microsoft has not yet made an announcement concerning Windows 9 release date.
This date coincides with reports from CNet, who stated that Microsoft would unveil the system during a “technology preview” in either late September or early October.
Some of the new features rumored to be included in the system are virtual desktops, a new “mini” Start Menu, the removal of the Charms bar, integration of Cortana, Metro-style apps that run on separate windows on the desktop, and various UI changes.
Windows 9 is rumored to be available spring 2015, though an official release date has not yet been announced.
