Amazon Announces Secure Enterprise Storage Service, Zocalo
📅 - Amazon announced it new document storage service, Zocalo, last week as a way to compete with other cloud storage services such as Dropbox and Box.
On Thursday the tech giant announced the launch of a limited preview of Zocalo, a service that is described as being a “fully managed, secure enterprise storage and sharing service with strong administrative controls and feedback capabilities that improve user productivity.”
According to Amazon, this service allows users to comment on files, distribute documents for feedback, store documents across multiple devices, and upload new versions.
“Users can take advantage of these capabilities wherever they are, using the device of their choice, including PCs, Macs, and tablets,” says AWS website. “Amazon Zocalo offers IT administrators the option of integrating with existing corporate directories, flexible sharing policies, audit logs, and control of the location where data is stored.”
Amazon Zocalo can be purchased for $5 a month per users, which includes 200 GB of storage. A free 30-day trial is now available to users wanting to test out the service. The trial includes 200 GB of storage per user for up to 50 users.
