Imtech, a telecommunications firm, recently announced that it has acquired Penta, a web hosting provider. The company claims that this acquisition strengthens its position in the growing Swiss information and communication technology market for managed services.
It explains that Penta has 20 employees and generates annual revenue of $5.3 million. The acquisition contributes directly to the earnings per share. Besides an increase in scale, the existing services portfolio will be considerably strengthened in terms of the managed services competence. The addition of Penta will also expand the company's geographic footprint in Switzerland.
"Over the last few years, Imtech has built up a strong position in the European market for information and communication technology services and is active in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the UK, the Netherlands, Belgium and Romania," said Imtech CEO Rene van der Bruggen.
