Castle Access, Inc., a provider of enterprise data centers, recently announced the appointment of Joe Alfrey as Managing Director. The company says that Alfrey's appointment aligns it with that of its joint venture partner Xertix, the multinational IT services provider, and gives clients in Southwestern US and Mexico access to an integrated portfolio of enterprise data center and mission-critical managed services.
According to it, Alfrey will assume the day-to-day leadership of all aspects of its operations, reporting directly to its Board of Directors. Mark Hopperton, one of the original founders of the company, will transition from CEO to Chairman of its Board, focusing on the company's long-term strategy and business development.
The company articulates that Alfrey has eighteen years of professional experience ranging from fast-growth start-ups to public companies in the medical device and health care industries. For the past 10 years, Alfrey has served as a Director and CFO of the company. Highlights of Alfrey's tenure as CFO include the opening of the company's 88,000 square foot enterprise data center, the successful SAS70 Type II certification audits, and attraction of multi-million dollar investments to fuel expansion of data center capabilities and value-added IT services. Alfrey is a Certified Management Accountant and holds a BBA in Business Economics from the University of San Diego and an MBA in Finance from San Diego State University.
