Panopta, a provider of server monitoring and outage management systems, today announced that it has released a major upgrade to its integration API, which gives customers and partners an extremely robust tool to integrate their systems with the company's system. The company claims that integrating with this API will help result in more streamlined operations, improved accuracy and positive impact on the bottom line for Panopta customers.

It avers that major features of the upgrade include:

• Automated provisioning and management of customer accounts for partners who resell the company's services, reducing the hassle of adding new customer accounts and thereby enhancing its value-add
• Integrated configuration of monitoring services, allowing hosting companies and other service providers to automatically setup monitoring when they provision a new dedicated or virtual servers for their customers
• Access to real-time availability and outage data, which can be integrated into a customer's existing portal, control panel and website, providing its clients up-to-the-minute access to data about its servers
  

The company articulates that these exciting features give its customers the ability to integrate server monitoring into their other product offerings and backend infrastructure, thereby enhancing their suite of products as well as providing an additional revenue source. Further, because of the integrated approach, this upgrade enables service providers, including SaaS vendors, the ability to better support their customers and more clearly demonstrate their ability to provide for stated Service Level Agreements (SLAs). It adds that access to the integration API is currently available to all its current customers and can be provided by contacting the company support.
