Scality, a developer of scalable object storage software for email and cloud storage applications, today announced that intergenia, a web hosting provider, has selected Scality cloud storage software to provide a Cloud Storage solution for its customers.

The company states that intergenia operates worldwide out of data-centers in Europe and USA through its brands PlusServer, serverloft and SERVER4YOU. intergenia customers are mainly web-focused companies that need a fast and reliable Internet infrastructure for their products.

Serge Dugas, Chief Sales and Marketing Officer for Scality commented, "Hosting providers want to take a share in the exponentially growing cloud storage market which was created by Amazon S3. They need object storage technology that is simple to deploy, which minimizes initial investment, yet enables customers to scale-up rapidly.
