The company states that under the terms of the partnership, its customers that purchase a qualified VPS plan will receive SmarterMail 6.x, an Exchange-level Windows mail server, SmarterStats 5.x, a comprehensive web log analytics and SEO software, and SmarterTrack 4.x, a complete customer service software solution, at no additional cost. It avers that the software bundle is valued at $800 and is available with the Microsoft Hyper-V plan.
The company articulates that while there are various virtualization technologies available in market, most are basically software-level virtualization and do not provide dedicated resources or full control over hosting environments. However, Microsoft Hyper-V is a more robust virtualization technology that provides dedicated resources along with complete isolation from other VPS' on same system.
It explains that with Hyper-V, the Microsoft hypervisor-based server virtualization technology, plus flexible licensing policies, it's now easier than ever to take advantage of the cost savings of virtualization through Windows Server 2008 R2.
