Nov, 2009 : Intergence Systems Partners with Certeon

📅 - Newly formed partnership enables Intergence Systems to broaden its offering to an expanding client base that needs integrated virtualized solutions.

Certeon, a provider of virtual appliance solutions for WAN optimization and application acceleration, today announced that Intergence Systems, an international IT optimization consultancy, has become a Professional Services partner of Certeon. The company states that Intergence Systems chose to partner with it to complement and broaden its offering to an expanding client base that needs integrated virtualized solutions. After evaluating its aCelera Virtual Appliance software product, Intergence also selected it to optimize the performance of its applications across the WAN between its corporate and remote offices.

It explains that Intergence's testing of aCelera software optimizing Microsoft File Sharing applications supported by CIFS, FTP, HTTP and HTTPS protocols resulted in a 93 percent improvement in remote file access. aCelera reduced the remote file access response time from 53 seconds to 4 seconds for a 10MB files over a 2 Mbps WAN link. aCelera's performance, along with the desire by Intergence's customers to move to a virtualized server environment, motivated Intergence to partner with it. Intergence uses a third-party hosting company as its corporate data center.

The company adds that by deploying aCelera WAN acceleration software to the data center, Intergence is experiencing near- LAN level performance to its remote offices while at the same time leveraging significant cost benefits from its hosted services. It further states that aCelera Virtual Appliance software empowers both enterprises and hosting providers to improve the performance of application and file delivery over high latency WAN links as well as optimizing network bandwidth. aCelera delivers the performance, scalability and cost-efficiency required to enable distributed virtualized IT environments.

"aCelera software offers enterprises and service providers a high performance and costeffective alternative to hardware appliances," said Peter Dougherty, Co-founder and President, Certeon Inc. "Intergence's selection of our aCelera virtual appliance validates the software approach to WAN optimization and simply makes more sense in a global business environment."

"Partnering with Certeon has provided benefits to us in two specific ways," said Barry Viles, EVP Operations, Intergence Systems Ltd. "The first is the significant performance improvements that aCelera software delivered to our managed IT infrastructure and remote offices. Secondly, our partnership will increase the depth of our value proposition and capability to deliver real, immediate benefits to our customers in a virtualized environment."
