May, 2009 : Interxion Expands Copenhagen Data Center
Interxion, a provider of carrier-neutral data centres, today announced that it is expanding the capacity of its Copenhagen centre in order to meet growing customer demand for high-power-density colocation infrastructure.
The company articulates that the new 1,000 m² of equipped space will be ready for customers from May 2009 and will give access to the data centre's 10 megawatt power supply, supporting exceptionally high-density power configurations of up to 17.5 kW per cabinet. It adds that the build-out consolidates its position as the leading carrier-neutral data centre operator in the Danish market.
''We have expanded our capacity while maintaining and improving an uncompromising focus on service quality and data centre security,'' said Peder Bank, Managing Director for Interxion in Denmark.
''Whilst growing at approximately 50 per cent year on year in Denmark, we have also recently achieved certification for ISO 27001 information security management systems, as well as maximum ratings for IT security in an independent KPMG report. A major part of our growth comes from system integrators and enterprises that have chosen us for our carrier and vendor neutrality and our constant focus on customer satisfaction.''
