Digital Realty Trust, Inc., a manager and owner of corporate and internet gateway datacentres, today announced that it has completed a second Turn-Key Datacentre lease agreement with IBM for space at its suburban Paris facility. The company states that under this agreement, IBM will expand its datacentre accommodation capacity in company's facility to support growth in demand for its services.
It explains that its Turn-Key Datacentre facilities provide environments to house mission critical infrastructure, by providing advanced cooling, power, redundancy, and sustainability features. This guarantees that critical applications are available while optimising energy efficiency. The company further states that its Turn-Key Datacentres are scalable from hundreds of kilowatts of IT Load to megawatts of IT load and are located in markets throughout Europe and North America. Each Turn-Key Datacentre facility is physically secure and features a state-of-the-art power and cooling architecture that has been optimised for green operation. It claims that every Turn-Key Datacentre is built using the its proprietary POD Architecture and uses metered power to ensure that clients pay only for the power that they use.
