Surpass Hosting, a provider of shared, reseller, dedicated and virtual private server hosting solutions, today introduced United Kingdom hosting services, reaching out to European customers seeking reduced latency and greater accessibility.
The company explains that with servers physically located at the BlueSquare private data facility near London, it will be able to serve a wider variety of prospective customers and satisfy increasing demand from its existing Europe-based customers. It claims that the UK-based services will offer greater redundancy, increased bandwidth, and fewer network hops to web users throughout Europe and Asia.
The company states that hosting plans in the UK will be similar to United States-based plans, but will be priced marginally higher to account for greater operating costs in the new market. It also states that the Power UK shared hosting plan, which includes 500GB of disk space and unmetered bandwidth, starts as low as $8 (about £5.4) per month. As of today's launch, there are four shared hosting plans available for the UK market, adds the company.
