Plus Hosting, a web hosting provider, today announced their enrollment in the R1Soft Hosting Partner Program (R1HPP) after the recent addition of Continuous Data Protection (CDP) to their portfolio of hosting services. The company states that R1HPP will provide it with the marketing and sales resources required to successfully educate current customers about the benefits of CDP as well as promote it as a feature to attract new customers.
It avers that the implementation of R1Soft CDP has allowed it to move from a homemade, CPU intensive backup solution only capable of running backups nightly to high-performance, disk-based backups that have reduced server loads by more than 80 percent. It adds that post the deployment of CDP, it can now back up entire file systems, run backups more frequently, and bare-metal restore data.
