Latisys is deliberately placing emphasis on "Delivering More_" to customers, including the promise with the appearance of its new logo.
According to the press release, Latisys says that its Delivering More_ promise emcompasses all aspects of the company, including "More_Latitude, More_Expertise, More_Storage, More_Performance, More_Security, More_ROI."
"Demands placed on IT organizations and businesses for cost-effective outsourced data center solutions, information storage, security and scalability are significant," says Peter Stevenson, CEO and co-founder of Latisys. "We also believe solving those demands in an efficient and timely manner will be an increasing focus of company executives, managers and owners. Latisys offers scalable infrastructure management solutions that provide customers with exactly what they need, when they need it."
Pronounced LAT-eh-sis, the name is derieved from a combination of the words latitude and information systems.
Those roots, along with the new brand traits, "reflect the flexibility and breadth of services that have taken the company to the next level in data center solutions, managed hosting and managed services," says Latisys.
The name Latisys also refers to the company's national reach, as well as the adaptable and customer-focused approach it delivers to meet customers' increasing and changing IT infrastructure challenges.
The company has three Tier III data centers, including a facility in Denver, which it acquired from Data393 in October, a center in Chicago, which it bought from Stargate and one in Irvine, California, purchased from InteleNet.
Latisys launched its new website that consolidates the overall offering, and also features details about each of the data center locations.
Latisys provides outsourced IT infrastructure management services, including colocation, managed hosting, managed services and disaster recovery solutions to all small and medium-sized businesses and enterprise customers.
