Host Color Offers Com, Net, Org Domain Registration for $8.80

As a part of the promotional campaign, Host Color has also added a free "who is" privacy shield to each domain name, regularly priced at $1.95 per year.

Host Color is also still running a valentines day-themed 15 percent discount promotion on its shared, virtual private server and dedicated hosting, using the coupon code "HOSTINGLOVE2009" until February 28th, 2009. It is offering a free SSL certificate with its VPS Power package and an instant 10 percent rebate on Drupal and Social Web hosting plans.

This discount lets shared customers have the potential to save up to $125, and resellers save up to $256. Telx Launches Clifton, NJ Pricing Promotion

As part of the launch of its newest data center facility 11-miles outside of New York City in Clifton, New Jersey, Telx (telx.com) has begun a pricing promotion on cabinet bundles ending April 1, 2009.

Telx has acquired 24,000 square feet of colocation space at the facility, which customers can lease in a number of configurations. Clients can rent a 42U locking cabinet including a 20 amp 110v AC or -48v DC power circuit, 5 MB of dedicated Internet access for $2,000 on a 12-month term or $1,100 billed monthly.

Last week, Telx extended its promotional pricing for two of its California facilities, making the deals available through to the end of March. More information on the Clifton facility and cabinet offers is available on the company's website.



The Planet Offers Unmetered Servers from $99

For instance, the Dual Xeon 3.2, regularly priced at $299 per month, is now available for $144, which includes 10 Mbps of unmetered bandwidth. The same server is priced at $544 with 100 Mbps of unmetered bandwidth, which would regularly be $2,099.

"The success of any company's Web site is often tempered by unforeseen costs related to increased traffic and related bandwidth overage charges," The Planet dedicated hosting general manager Urvish Vashi said in a statement. "With our low-priced unmetered servers, customers can cost-effectively plan for scale, avoiding expensive overages."

The Planet Offers Second Dedicated Servers Discounts From $49

Earlier in the week, The Planet launched a promotion that offers customers a second server optimized for backup, sandbox development or testing for a substantial discount until the end of March. Six server models are available as discounted add-ons to an existing or new dedicated server. Customers also receive R1Soft CDPServer software at no extra cost. The servers and software are priced from $49, reflecting savings of up to 69 percent.
