Feb, 2009 : Rackspace's Mosso Hosts Digital Marketer

📅 February 18, 2009 - Managed hosting provider Rackspace Hosting (rackspace.com ) announced on Wednesday that digital marketing company Razorfish (razorfish.com) has selected Rackspace's cloud hosting platform Mosso (mosso.com -> rackspace.com).

This marks the latest in a series of customer wins for Mosso since it launched the hosting cloud platform, which provides on-demand scalable website, application and storage hosting.

Last month, Mosso launched a new blog series called Spotlight on the Cloud, which reviews interesting websites hosted on cloud sites.

The digital marketing firm is using the platform to build consumer-facing websites and web applications that can accomodate large traffic spikes during major promotions and product launches of brands.

Using Rackspace's web-based Cloud Sites and Cloud Files hosting services, Razorfish develops microsites, community platforms, blogs, and web video for its clients.

As one of the largest interactive marketing and technology companies in the world, Razorfish has offices in markets across the United States, and in Australia, China, France, Germany, Japan and the United Kingdom.

According to the press release, Razorfish advises its clients on how to use "digital channels such as the web, mobile devices, in-store technologies and other emerging media to engage people, build brand loyalty and provide excellent customer service."

The company provide a range of solutions through its strategic counsel, digital advertising and content creation, media buying, analytics, technology and user experience.

"Razorfish is well known for its innovation in digital marketing -- they help to build marquis brands in our digital age," says Emil Sayegh, general manager of Rackspace's cloud hosting division. "We're excited to see them take full advantage of our services to meet the growing needs of their clients. Our Internet-based, cloud hosting solutions add value to large and small companies alike that are serious about their web presence."

The WHIR recently interviewed Jonathan Bryce, co-founder of Mosso about a providing cloud hosting solution for YouDecide2008.com, a political blog and website.
