) has officially launched its new "Elite Series" line of enterprise servers, making Intel Xeon processors available to all Limestone Networks customers.

According to the company's announcement this week, the Elite Series of servers consists completely of Xeon 5400 series, dual-processor, quad-core servers with Harpertown processor cores, which can support more than 48GB of RAM on a single server. The Elite Series currently provides Xeon 5400 series processors operating at up to 3.0 Ghz.

Each Elite Series configuration comes standard with the company's IPMI 2.0 control, which integrates control of the keyboard, display and mouse (or KVM) over IP, giving backend access to each server.

The line also features ECC Registered DDR2 SDRAM, and Western Digital RE3 drives, the latest enterprise-grade hard drives.

Limestone's Dual Intel Xeon 5450 with 2 GB of ram, 250 GB of storage, and 2000 Gb of bandwidth is available starting at $489.99 per month. The Dual Intel Xeon 5420 and 5405 models with a similar setup start at $359.99 and $289.99 respectively.

Also, all Elite Series servers are linked directly into the Limestone Private Tunnel, which securely links all Limestone Networks dedicated servers together to provide unlimited, unmetered, on-demand scalability for clients who want to switch to, or add, an Elite Series server to existing clusters within the network.

In November, Limestone opened a new downtown Dallas data center, offering fiber connectivity to the Internet, as well as the latest in power, cooling and security system technology, all housed within the DataBank building.
