👈 Official Responses: 0) has now begun offering R1Soft's data backup solution, Continuous Data Protection, as an added layer of security for its customers' mission-critical data.

According to R1Soft's Tuesday announcement, CDP will enable Layered Tech customers to quickly and easily back up their mission-critical data and restore MySQL databases, as well as provide control panel integration and greater backup scheduling flexibility. All services will feature fully-managed backup offerings, which include the installation, configuration and ongoing monitoring of backup jobs for clients, according to the announcement.

"We selected R1Soft CDP after testing the solution in-house, which showed the overall value of the CDP product. It provides the required flexibility and dependability for backing up and restoring data," Layered Tech chief information officer Terrance Bush said in a statement. "We can ensure that our enterprise customers will have confidence knowing their data is safe and available either through file-by-file or bare-metal restores."

As well, Layered Tech reports that its CDP offering will soon be completely integrated with Encompass, Layered Tech's newly updated centralized client management portal.

Scheduled to be integrated into Encompass in February, Layered Tech launched a fully automated web hosting platform two weeks ago, designed to dramatically accelerate the availability and provisioning of servers for both customers and partners. According to Layered Tech, the platform is a unique combination of hardware and software providing flexibility, removing delays, and increasing server procurement efficiency, accelerating server delivery and enriching customer experience.

In late October, R1Soft officially launched its Continuous Data Protection 2.0 software for Windows and Linux servers, giving users shorter backup windows and better data protection with its both file and image-based bare-metal restores.

Its CDP backups will be included with all its web hosting and email services and will be offered as an add-on for colocation clients, letting them maintain complete control of their backups and forgo the upfront software and hardware costs of top-quality, off-site data protection and disaster recovery.
