📅 January 21, 2009 - Managed hosting provider Carpathia Hosting (carpathiahost.com) announced on Wednesday that it has added the Carpathia Integrated Hosting Package (carpathiahost.com/campaigns/bundle.html), a solution designed to offer the efficiencies of a consolidated hosting environment.

Many businesses use several service providers and hosting providers to meet their hosting infrastructure needs, which can prove to be both costly and complicated.

The Carpathia Integrated Hosting Package aims to provide a comprehensive, one-stop solution for enterprises by offering a range of features that were previously only offered as add-on features with its standard managed dedicated hosting plan.

And while the idea of being a single service provider for business customers is hardly a new one, it is arguably a good approach to take when offering managed hosting.

"We took the most-requested features we consistently hear about from customers and prospects and created an integrated hosting package to help these organizations optimize their Internet presence," says Jon Greaves, chief technology officer at Carpathia. "As a result, companies that implement the Carpathia Integrated Hosting Package will be able to run more efficiently and will realize the cost savings almost immediately."

At the core of the plan is Carpathia's fully managed server, which uses the "latest hardware, RAID-configured disks, ample memory and a fully-managed operating system," according to the press release. Each server is connected to the Carpathia Intelligent Routed Network via gigabit connections, and includes 1MB of bandwidth.

The plan's added features include unlimited DNS, Juniper-powered virtual firewall, Evault Backup solution, around the clock monitoring of each business' server and spam/AV firewall.

Additionally, the plan includes an application suite that offers email with unrestricted IMAP and POP3 mailboxes, group calendaring, webmail, corporate web server, Internet file server, SugarCRM and WordPress blogging platform.

Carpathia also offers one hour of support from the company's engineering team to help businesses migrate from their current providers.

The Integrated Hosting Package is priced at $376 per month, and for a limited time, Carpathia is waiving the setup fee.

Founded in 2003, Carpathia Hosting provides enterprise managed hosting and colocation services for government agencies, large enterprises and small-to-medium businesses in eight data centers across the United States.

In November, Carpathia named Greaves the company's chief technology officer.
