Jan, 2009 : Mosso Seeks Submissions for Cloud Spotlight

📅 January 15, 2009 - Mosso (mosso.com -> rackspace.com), Rackspace's (rackspace.com ) cloud computing division, announced on Tuesday it has launched a new series called Spotlight on the Cloud on its blog.

The Spotlight on the Cloud series will review websites hosted on cloud sites where it will offer some information about the site, the people responsible, why they chose Rackspace Cloud Hosting, and some commentary about what makes these websites unique.

The non-technical posts will be located in the Spotlight on the Cloud category of Mosso's blog.

The section is designed to illustrate the benefits of Rackspace Cloud Hosting, as well as the many interesting websites the host here.

Mosso is currently looking for website submissions to feature in the blog series content.

In order to be eligible for coverage, Mosso says the website's domain must reside on Mosso Cloud Sites, or use Mosso Cloud Files, and there should be no adult conten.

Any websites that are interested in being featured in the Spotlight on the Cloud series can email twitter@mosso.com, and include why they think their site is noteworthy, the benefits of hosting it on Mosso and their contact information.

In the post, Mosso says that they expect to receive a "fair number of requests and may not be able to cover all of them," so people should try to convey what makes their website so extraordinary in the email.

Once a website is selected to be featured in the blog, Mosso will set up a time for the phone call to discuss the post with the website owner and collaborate with them on the post, adding that it "will do most of the heavy lifting."

In February 2008, Mosso launched a new version of The Hosting Cloud, and in June it added a new Mosso control panel and a new provisioning system.
