📅 November 12, 2008 - Web hosting provider AYKsolutions (ayksolutions.com) announced on Wednesday it has introduced virtual private servers (ayksolutions.com/vps-hosting.htm) to individuals and small to medium sized businesses.


The news follows Gearworx's announcement on Tuesday that it has launched its own line of ColdFusion virtual private servers, which is hosted on Dell PowerEdge 2900 series servers with quad core Intel Xeon processors.

AYKsolutions is offering four VPS hosting plans, starting with the AYKlite plan. Priced at $59 per month, the plan includes 25GB of hard drive space, 512MB of Ram and 350GB of 350GB.

The AYKmid plan is $79 per month, and includes 50GB, 1024MB of RAM and 1000GB of transfer. Finally, AYKpro is $119 per month, and includes 100GB of hard drive space, 2048MB of RAM and 2000GB of transfer.

In addition to these rates, AYKsolutions charges a bandwidth overage fee of $1 per GB.

VPS nodes are powered by Dual Quad Core Intel Xeon 5400-series Harpertown processors and at least 8GB of ECC RAM, while hard drives are configured in RAID10 storage arrays to provide both data striping and mirroring across each disk.

Individual VPS hosting plans include access to the HyperVM Management Portal, Reboot Access, OS Reloads and the LX Admin Control Panel for invidual websites. Customers can also add cPanel for a small fee.
