📅 - UK managed dedicated hosting provider DediPower (dedipower.com -> pulsant.com) announced on Tuesday that it celebrates its 10th anniversary this month.
Established in 1998, DediPower has grown from a web solutions start-up in Reading, UK, to hosting "thousands of customers ranging in size from rapidly growing 'Internet' innovators to large, well-established organizations and multinationals."
Founders Craig Martin, Spencer Tarring and Russell Champion, who all had their origins in Web development, said they recognized in the late '90s the growing need for "reliable and effective web hosting solutions" for their clients.
The company decided to refocus its direction on delivering dedicated hosting solutions in its two Reading-based enterprise class data centers, which total more than 22,000 square feet.
On its website, DediPower says it maintains complete control of these facilities by owning its network operations center, building its own servers, and operating its own resilient network.
DediPower is also a full member of European domain registry Nominet (nominet.org.uk) as well as European IP registry RIPE (ripe.net), which ensures that its fully resilient multihomed network is available at all times.
In the event that one of DediPower's fiber connections goes down it can automatically switch to an alternative route to ensure that its customers' server does not experience any downtime.
