Sep 16, 2008 : 1&1 Launches Affiliate Web Portal

📅 September 16, 2008 - Web hosting provider 1&1 Internet (1and1.com) announced on Tuesday it has launched a web portal for the Affiliate Sales Program (1and1affiliate.com) which integrates more resources.

The new portal is the latest in 1&1 Internet's ongoing efforts to improve its affiliate program. In July, the company enhanced its commission structure, providing registered affiliates with a one-time, 100 percent commission on the referred customer's total monthly recurring order value.

Additionally, the company reduced the waiting period for affiliate commission-payout from three months to 45 days after a referred customer places an order with The Planet.

1&1 Internet says the new Affiliate Sales Program portal offers resources and unique tools that no other affiliate program offers, giving affiliates a better chance at achieving success.

The portal also acts as a recruitment tool that provides visitors with many ways to join, as well as the ability to exchange information and communicate directly with the 1&1 affiliate team.

Visitors to the affiliate portal will be able to get advice on starting as an affiliate, tips on how to make high commissions and link-building tools to achieve success.

The website offers affiliates several methods to build and promote their affiliate links with both off and online tools such as SMS texting, a personalized PDF Poster Creator, and a Dynamic Product Page creator to display 1&1 products on affiliates' websites.

Current affiliates receive advice articles, affiliate newsletters and other tips on this new site. The portal also offers dedicated support via toll-free phone, live-chat and an email from experienced affiliate professionals.

1&1 claims it is one of the top online retailers in the global affiliate network, Commission Junction, with over 15,000 affiliates in the US. 1&1 offers sales commissions to affiliates using different to track banners and links.

The 1&1 Affiliate Program has no limit on potential earnings, and will distribute over $40 million to its global affiliates during 2008.

Earlier this month, RatePoint revealed that it will begin offering its website reputation management service to all new 1&1 business hosting customers.
