👈 Official Responses: 0) has been granted ISO 27001 certification for information security, giving clients a firm guarantee that their websites are hosted in a secure and well-managed environment.


Announced Wednesday, Noordbeek IT Audit founder and director Dr. Ronald Paans asked the question: "Is LeaseWeb's worldwide growth being managed properly?" And after a thorough audit, Noordbeek IT Audit found it to be so.

"ISO 27001 is a rigorous standard that is consistent with what De Nederlandsche Bank expects from banks and insurances companies," said Dr. Paans in a statement. "This ISO standard is considered the framework of the Code for Information Security, but for hosting provider LeaseWeb we have done far more within this certification process than just examining and assessing the information security."

Noordbeek IT Audit examined management and security, and will continue to audit LeaseWeb according to these ISO standards each year, according to LeaseWeb managing director Con Zwinkels.

"This gives LeaseWeb's customers the guarantee that their hosting will continue to be in safe hands with us in the future," Zwinkels said in a statement. "LeaseWeb is growing rapidly. We recently increased our bandwidth capacity to a whopping 210 Gbps, and we have doubled in size over the past year in terms of personnel. In view of the tremendous growth in both the hosting network and personnel, continuity is extremely important in the assessment according to this ISO standard, it guarantees our customers professional hosting, and gives them the security that their hosting is and will continue to be professionally organized."

Leaseweb is the latest web hosting company to receive the certificate, joining colocation provider TelecityRedbus (telecityredbus.com), and domain registrar and web hosting provider Arsys Internet (arsys.net) as ISO 27001 certified firms.
