May 2, 2008 : NGASI Offers AppServer Manager 8.1

📅 May 2, 2008 - Application server management software developer NGASI (ngasi.com) announced on Thursday that it has launched NGASI AppServer Manager 8.1.

The first maintenance release for 2008 contains over 30 bug fixes and improvements, says the company.

The solution enables customers to automate multiple installations and configurations for application servers and applications on a single server machine, across multiple virtual servers, and across multiple physical servers.

According to the company's latest press release, some of the improvements include tighter integration for the management of remote systems with web hosting control panels, the addition of key-based authentication to remote servers, which prevents the need to store passwords, and newer versions of supported application servers have been added to the software stack.

NGASI says that extra applications have also been added to something the company calls the "Application Factory," which enables one-click installation of standard applications.

NGASI AppServer Manager enables IT managers the ability to centrally manage application server assets and resources spread across the enterprise, while providing service providers with SaaS-enabled or cloud computing-based JAVA hosting, says the company.

NGASI's last AppServer Manager update was in January.
