📅 October 15, 2007 - Canadian Web hosting provider Crucial Web Hosting (crucialwebhost.com) announced on Monday it has launched its new high availability split shared Web hosting solutions, which offers an advanced hosting service provider configuration that places shared hosting accounts or services in different virtual environments.

Crucial Web hosting deploys split shared Web hosting solutions onto clusters of Virtuozzo hardware nodes. Each Crucial Web hosting cluster consists of three hardware nodes, while each hardware node is provisioned with minimum enterprise class hardware specifications including 12GB RAM, 2.5TB RAID5 hardware redundancy, 8x2.33GHz processors and redundant power supplies and power sources.

Split shared hosting environments are deployed as virtualized server environments, enabling Crucial to provide portability, scalability and quality of service that are unavailable in traditional shared Web hosting environment models.
