📅 - IT security and managed solutions provider Comodo (comodo.com) announced on Thursday that the City of Rochester, New York through Rochester Digital Ripple will begin deploying free wireless Internet access to residents and visitors in the South Wedge/Rochester community.
As an added service, Rochester Digital Ripple will enable users to sign up for two Comodo solutions: secure wireless session Comodo TrustConnect and online fax service Comodo TrustFax. Local service provider Rochester Digital Ripple, along with a select group of students, will lead the management and deployment of the wireless network throughout the city.
TrustConnect enables users to secure their wireless sessions when they are using public networks. Users can elect to sign up per session or per month. TrustFax enables online fax delivery with features such as the ability to email deliver faxes as a PDF file to up to 10 email addresses, storage for incoming faxes as a backup to email with unlimited storage space and the ability to send faxes using customer's email or the TrustFax Web site.

Comodo announced yesterday it is offering a set of free diagnostic tests that will help users understand how vulnerable their computers are to buffer overflow attacks.
