📅 April 5, 2007 - Web design, development and hosting provider AmericanEagle.com (americaneagle.com) announced on Wednesday that it has completed a fully redeveloped Web site for candle manufacturer and marketer Colonial Candle (colonialcandle.com). The new Web site represents the site design and functionality in accordance with current e-commerce standards and practices.

For the new site, Colonial Candle was challenged with presenting aromatic products in the online environment, as well as presenting its products in an appealing way to its target demographic of women ages 25 to 50. The company selected Americaneagle.com's idev e-commerce platform for its site, providing Colonial Candle with a fully customized system which uses the latest advances in e-commerce technology.

Focusing on usability, the site's homepage now includes an intuitive navigation system, enabling shoppers to quickly browse through candles by fragrance, color and type. The new idev search tool uses the most up-to-date features within the online search industry. It enables visitors to enter terms into the search bar, which queries the product database to find a list of items that match the letter sequence being typed by the visitors.
