EDS Extends Relationship With Akamai to Provide New Services

The companies say the worldwide content delivery services market is expected to grow to more than $2 billion by 2003, from $96.7 million in 2000 and $462.5 million in 2001, according to The HTRC Group.
Monday's agreement targets this market and marks an expansion of a cross-selling relationship EDS and Akamai established in September 2000. Under the agreements, EDS became a reseller of Akamai's FreeFlow(SM) content delivery, FreeFlow(SM) Streaming media delivery and FirstPoint(SM) global traffic management services, and Akamai became a provider of EDS? Intelligent Storage Services.
