The agreement brings together two forces in the open source community. Zend is the internationally established provider of commercial solutions to enhance performance and productivity of PHP, the dominant, open-source server-side scripting language for dynamic web sites. Rackspace was the first managed hosting company to support the Linux operating system, and today manages more than 2400 Linux servers.
