One-Click Calling enables simultaneous real-time voice communication betweencustomer service or sales representatives and online customers browsing thebusiness' website.
Customers can click on the One-Click Calling icon to set up a "toll-free"call through the Internet to the business' customer service or salesrepresentative. The customer can continue to browse through the business'website while talking to the staff representative.
"One-Click Calling supports Telus' vision of convergence between voice andIP through integrated solutions," said Mark Schnarr, executivevice-president, Telus Ventures. "This is a new application for VoIP thatenables businesses to support simultaneous Web browsing and customer care toensure higher sales and customer satisfaction."
For the end consumer, the One-Click Calling feature provides the ability toask questions and receive live, real-time answers before making an onlinepurchase. For Telus business customers, One-Click Calling can improvecustomer service and support, increase the online inquiry-to-sales ratio,facilitate cross selling and up selling of products and services and improvecustomer loyalty.
One-Click Calling is available for $14.95 per month plus applicable taxes,with a $9.95 set-up fee. The One-Click Calling service also requiresbusinesses to set up a Telus toll-free number.
